Crisinfo -- Communication Rights in the Information Society

About Crisinfo

The World Summit on the Information Society was a two-phase UN summit. The first phase took place in Geneva in December 2003 and the second in Tunis in November 2005.

The aim of the WSIS was "to develop a common vision and understanding of the Information Society, to better understand its scope and dimensions and to draw up a strategic plan of action for successfully adapting to the new society".

We set up this list to facilitate communication about the WSIS among civil society entities and to offer news and other information related to the CRIS campaign's efforts to ensure that communication rights are fully incorporated into the WSIS process, agenda and output.

While the WSIS process is over, CRIS is maintaining its focus on communication rights.
